Alexander City Arts Announces 2024-2025 Season Lineup


Alexander City Arts is thrilled to unveil its 2024-2025 season, marking the 56th year of bringing
exceptional performances to our community. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Alex City
Arts is dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape of Alexander City and the surrounding area.


The season kicks off on October 17 with a spectacular tribute to the Music of Mancini,
performed by the renowned Jukebox Saturday Night, managed by Glenn Miller Productions.
Following the resounding success of the Glenn Miller Orchestra’s performance, this show
promises another unforgettable night.


On November 12th, enjoy the unique blend of classical piano and violin with a comedic twist by
the internationally acclaimed Duo Baldo. December brings the beloved Scott Blake and Friends,
presenting the fourth annual Christmas with Friends concert. This festive event, free to the public
with donations benefiting local charities, highlights our commitment to supporting local talent
and community spirit.


December 12th , Scott Blake and Friends Annual Christmas Concert. The talents of Scott Blake
and friends are well known in these parts. Combine that with a musically inclined group of old
college chums and the results are magical and moving. This will be the fourth annual Christmas
Concert for charity; local talent supporting local causes.


January 12, Mutts Gone Nuts! promises to entertain young and old alike. Expect the unexpected
when the Mutts Gone Nuts Canine Cabaret takes the stage. From shelters to showbiz stars, these
4-legged performers will steal your hearts and maybe your socks!


February 13th – Women and Children First, featuring the standup comedian Rex Havens one-
man, family-friendly show with a simple message for the men of America, “Sorry fellas, it’s
over, we lost!”


March 13th will close the season with Emmet Cahill, hailed as Ireland’s Most Exciting Young
Tenor. Cahill has grabbed the attention of audiences across America performing Irish classics
and the best of traditional Irish repertoire as well as Broadway Hits.


Council President Henry Foy emphasizes the significance of the Christmas concert, stating, “It’s
vital to our mission to showcase local artists, inspire creativity, and connect with a wider
audience.”

Season tickets are offered in two levels: the basic $120 package for admission to all
performances and email updates, and the $180 Patron of the Arts package, which includes all
performances, email updates, and exclusive invitations to special events.

Foy adds, “With the cost of similar performances in Birmingham, Auburn, or Atlanta, this
season’s lineup offers incredible value. We’re excited to welcome both long-time supporters and
new faces to celebrate the arts in Alexander City.”
